We are excited to welcome Scott and Beth Erwin as the new owners and operators of Made in the Shade in historic Madison Georgia. Scott and Beth bring a wealth of sales and management experience to their new business which will be of tremendous value in their new venture. We look forward to assisting them every step of the way.
Professional background
Scott brings extensive managerial experience to the business having managed a variety of companies in the construction trade, including lumber yards, plumbing supplies, and most recently commercial roofing.
Beth has enjoyed a highly successful career in sales. Before starting a nearly 25-year career in real estate, Beth forged a successful career selling concrete forming accessories to commercial contractors and electronic devices supporting production automation systems.
Both Beth and Scott share a commitment to providing customers with a rewarding buying experience through exemplary service and a belief in the strength of building strong relationships.
What hobbies/interests do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Scott is an avid sports fan and watches almost any event. He also loves fishing, hunting, reading, cycling, pickleball, and golfing. He also enjoys spending time with family, playing with our dogs, and taking long walks.
I love to read, play all sorts of card and board games, paint, do crafts, write, play with our crazy puppies, and go on walks with my man, pickleball and I am passionate about ministry. I also enjoy feeding my family big meals but do not want to cook all the time! And…drumroll…. I just released my very first book “Wander No More: Stepping Out of the Wilderness into Abundant Life.”
Tell us about your family and their interests.
We have one daughter, Melissa, a son-in-law, Steven, and two granddaughters – Ella (17) and Anna (9). We all share a common interest in work and have a tendency to work more than play. Melissa and Steven own a business that services conveyor systems. Mel loves gardening and Steven loves working on cars and playing the drums in a local band as well as for the praise and worship team.
Ella loves animals and Anna has gone crazy for softball which makes her grandfather, a retired pro-ball player, happy, happy, happy.
What appealed to you about the Made in the Shade opportunity?
We wanted to apply our work ethic toward owning our own company and were drawn to the idea of a home-based business. Blinds and window coverings piqued our interest and we fell in love with the Made in the Shade family. We look forward to meeting new people and making life-long customers and even friends.
