Made in the Shade Blinds and More proudly welcomes Sam and Cheryl Rayborn to our happy family! Sam and Cheryl recently relocated from Denver, CO to Peachtree City, GA, where they also opened their new Made in the Shade business. When speaking of being ambitious and welcoming an exciting challenge, this dynamic couple said, “Bring it on! We’re in!”
Sam has held various leadership roles in the oil and gas, healthcare, and software industries. After many years in Corporate America, he decided it was time to do things a little differently and focus on the things they were passionate about – their family and a burning desire to make a positive impact on the world around them. Sam brings a wealth of creative talents and strategic skills to employ in his new career with Made in the Shade.
Cheryl has been a flight attendant for Delta airlines for 27 years. Her extensive customer service skills provide a big plus in their new window covering business.
When asked what the biggest appeal was regarding the Made in the Shade Blinds and More opportunity, Sam confidently stated that the MITS core values lined up with theirs. Sam had looked at more than 17 franchise opportunities off and on for a few years, and when presented with the Made in the Shade opportunity, he knew it was the right fit for them!
Sam and Cheryl’s immediate business goal is to turn a small profit within their first year, while witnessing their brand being associated with quality and professionalism. Their first-year goal is quickly being realized, as after their first two months in business, they have already written an impressive $80,000 in sales.
As far as long-term goals, Sam and Cheryl definitely have their priorities in order. They both plan to continue to grow their business so that it can be the best quality and value in their geographical area.
Sam and Cheryl enjoy spending time with their two children, Duncan and Delaney, as well as entertaining them with traveling opportunities. They also enjoy what Sam refers to as “their in-house shuttle service!”
