FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Made in the Shade expands, adds partner

Made in the Shade Blinds & More, a locally-owned window treatment store, is now servicing three new counties, and has added a new partner in the business. Previously, their focus has been on the Clarksville-Montgomery county area, but is now offering service to residents and businesses in Robertson, Cheatham, and Dickson counties. The full-time service area now includes Springfield, Greenbrier, Ashland City , Pleasant view, and Dickson, as well as Clarksville.

The group has also added Mandie VanBuren to its team, not only as a new design consultant, but also as its third partner and co-owner. VanBuren, a mom to three young children, brings to the table her real estate background and keen eye for design sensibilities.

“I’m really excited to see how Mandie’s participation adds greater service and client relations than we’ve ever had before,” said David Shelton, who started the locally-owned business in May of 2014. The business has grown with double-digit percentages every year since then.

The venture recently added an additional installer and moved into a storefront showroom at the Tree of Life Center in Clarksville. The showroom opened in May.

“We’ve had some growing pains recently, and it’s absolutely critical that we continue to build our client relationships,” Shelton said. “Offering great products is only a part of what we do. Our excellent service is what we’re known for. We are committed to keeping it that way and even improving it.”

VanBuren, also a realtor with Century 21 Platinum Properties, joined the Made in the Shade team this month, and is accepting new clients for both businesses.

“When I saw the dedication of the people who grew this business into what it is and the quality of products they offer, “VanBuren said, “I knew Made in the Shade was exactly the kind of company I wanted to be a part of.”

Made in the Shade Blinds & More is a locally-owned and operated franchise. The company was founded in 2004 by Cathy Morse in San Antonio, Texas, and now has more than 75 franchises around the United States and Canada.

“Mandie is the perfect addition to our team in Clarksville,” Morse said. “She is exactly the kind of community leader that Made in the Shade looks for in our franchisees. I can’t wait to see what they do together.”

Made in the Shade Blinds & More of Clarksville is located at 30 Crossland Ave. #104, in the Tree of Life Center in Clarksville. The store is open on Mondays through Fridays from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Free in-home consultations are available from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
