Professional background
Adam joins Made in the Shade well accustomed to being self-employed. He owns and continues to operate a thriving insurance agency and is well known throughout the community. His business savvy will be highly complemented by Katie who brings the artistic flair to the organization with a background as an art teacher.
What hobbies/interests do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Like many parents of young children, most of our spare time is spent being involved in our kid’s activities. And we love it! We are also very involved in our church, rural community events and Adam has a hobby-business as a mobile DJ. When we have the opportunity both of us like to travel, golf, and spend time in the outdoors enjoying our property and the spectacular Oregon view.
Tell us about your family and their interests.
We have an 8 year old boy named Quinn, and a 10 year old girl named Ellie. Quinn loves soccer, basketball and golf. Ellie can’t get enough of dance, art and musical theater. We like to play pickleball together, play Mario Kart, and have family dance parties. Of course, we also enjoy our time with our two cats, Cali and Mr. Boombooms.
What appealed to you about the Made in the Shade opportunity?
We enjoy the flexibility and freedom of owning our own business. Even though we’ve already started one and are successful with it, we are excited to start a new venture and learn something new together.
