“Very Rewarding!”

 We started our Made in the Shade Blinds & More (MITS) business earlier this year (2016) and initially felt that one of us could work the business full-time and the other could provide supplemental income and benefits. We soon realized that there was a lot of potential in the business that we were leaving on the table and in order to grow the business like we want to, it would take both of us working full-time (and beyond).

We both committed to the amazing MITS training even though at the time of training only one of us was on board full-time. The training was immensely valuable and a ‘Must Attend’ for all involved, even those involved peripherally. Made in the Shade Blinds & More training is where we not only learned more about running our window treatments business but also received product training and gleaned valuable information from MITS veterans.

Even though it’s only been a couple months since we have both been working our MITS business full-time, we feel it was one of the best decisions we ever could have made. Providing quality service has always been paramount to both of us. Knowing without a doubt we can provide that for our clients has been such a privilege and seeing satisfied customers is very rewarding. Another key factor in our decision to buy a MITS franchise was the freedom to spend time as a family or attend one of our children’s activities without feeling guilty or having to miss out on them completely, like had become the norm.

We knew that is not what we wanted for our lives – tomorrow isn’t promised and making our priorities a priority is key. Time freedom and setting our own schedules is not something you can quantify but it’s immensely important to us as we raise our children. We always find time to work. Making time for family commitments is now our choice, not our employers.

Made in the Shade Blinds & More is a catchy business name and many people feel as though they have “heard” of us even though we are new to the market and have not been able to spend a lot of marketing initially. Becoming a household name is our goal and with MITS we believe we are well on our way to making that happen. We feel a key to our success so far has been hard work, having a passion for what we do and providing exemplary service. You too can take back your life and make YOUR priorities a priority!!
