Most recently, Jen was in the import/export field coordinating shipping freight containers for ToysRUs. Scott has consulted for the last two years for an automotive software firm based in the UK. Before this, he spent 22 years in the automotive captive space with Mercedes-Benz Financial and Ford Credit.
When asked what appealed to them about the Made in the Shade opportunity, they confidently stated their platform. Initially, it was the royalty free model, the use of creativity, the tangible results of projects, and the opportunity to delight their clients. However, when they started meeting several members of the MITS family, it quickly became about becoming a part of the culture and camaraderie of this amazing group!
What are your immediate business goals?
Scott and Jen plan to be ranked in the number one or number two positions for searches in their market, as well as establish multiple networking channels through realtors, window retailers, builders, property managers, etc.
What are your long-term business goals?
Both Scott and Jen clearly agree that their five-year plan is to earn greater than $1 million in revenues, be ranked number one in window treatments in their local market (by credible media outlets), and employ more than two sales teams, a full-time marketing specialist and two permanent installers.
Now that is some powerful goalsetting for success!
The Berry family enjoys barbecuing, gardening, spending time with their family, going to the beach, golfing, and last, but not least, spending time with their long-haired dachshund, Rocco!
