Let’s Welcome David & Katie Voell to the Made in the Shade Family!
We are beyond excited to officially welcome David & Katie Voell to the Made in the Shade family as the proud new owners of Made in the Shade North Central Dallas!
David brings a strong background in tech and SaaS sales, having worked with industry leaders like Oracle NetSuite and Paycor. From selling enterprise software to leading a high-performing sales team across two states, David has always had the drive to lead—and the courage to chase big dreams. Starting a business was always a “one day” goal… until he decided to make it a right now reality. When it came time to choose the right franchise, Made in the Shade stood out for its family feel, support, and royalty-free model that empowers owners to truly grow.
Katie, who also thrives in the tech sales world, brings her own energy, creativity, and business savvy to the table. Together, these two make one seriously impressive team—and we can’t wait to see what they build.
The Voells live in Dallas and will be tying the knot this May. They recently adopted Reese, their sweet chocolate lab who completely owns their hearts. In their free time, you’ll find them soaking up sunshine at White Rock Lake, tailgating for Ole Miss football, golfing (with Katie happily critiquing David’s swings), or simply spending time with friends and family.
