Please join us in welcoming John Howard and Nathan Worsley, co-owners of Made in the Shade Greenville, proudly serving Greenville and surrounding communities throughout Pitt County, North Carolina!
John and Nathan bring a strong combination of construction experience, hands-on service, management, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship to their new business. Their backgrounds have given them firsthand knowledge of what goes into creating a well-built, comfortable home—and now they’re bringing that same attention to detail to custom window treatments.
John previously worked as a new home construction superintendent, where he developed an appreciation for quality workmanship, building details, and making sure projects were completed the right way. His experience working directly with homes provides a natural foundation for helping Greenville-area homeowners choose window treatments that balance style, functionality, and lasting quality.
Nathan is a graduate of North Carolina State University and brings a diverse professional background to the business. After college, he spent eight years installing and maintaining rose gardens with Witherspoon Rose Culture before moving into management with IFCO, where he oversaw containerized pine tree seedlings. He later entered the construction industry as a superintendent with Adams Homes, where he worked alongside John.
Together, John and Nathan saw an opportunity to combine their experience with a business focused on quality products, personalized customer service, and building meaningful relationships within their local community. Through Made in the Shade’s in-home consultation model, they’re able to meet customers where they live, understand their spaces firsthand, and help them select custom blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, outdoor solutions, motorization, and more.
Outside of work, both John and Nathan enjoy staying active and spending time with the people—and pets—they care about most. John enjoys time with his two dogs and two cats, along with golf and disc golf. Nathan and his wife are raising two daughters, and family time is a major part of his life. When he gets the opportunity, he also enjoys being outdoors, especially fishing.
