Made in the Shade is proud to welcome Tanner and Michelle Eastlick to the Made in the Shade family as the new owners of Made in the Shade in scenic and charming Kalispel, Montana. They are a dynamic couple and team who each bring sales experience, entrepreneurial skills and other critical strengths into this new venture. We share in their excitement about getting to learn a new industry, interact with new customers in their community and build a highly successful new business.
Professional background
Tanner & Michelle are veteran business owners having owned and operated multiple insurance agencies. Tanner has worked in the insurance industry for over a decade. His accomplishments include building and selling an agency from scratch, working in the District Office as an Agency Business Consultant/Recruiter, and purchasing 3 separate units that are now combined into a single extremely successful agency!
Michelle brings significant business knowledge and experience to the table as well. She has a degree in Business Administration/Marketing, has been employed with small businesses/franchises in various capacities. She has also worked in the hearing aid industry selling, fitting, and servicing high-end hearing aids for clients in need.
Tell us about your family and their interests
We are a joy-filled family of Five! I met Tanner in college and have been happily married for almost 13 years. Together we have 3 children; Finley (5), Colton (4) and Hailey (1). We also have a sweet Mini Australian Shepherd named Rueger. We prioritize being active in our local church and regularly spend time with our extended family, friends and neighbors. We love to be outdoors exploring. Camping is always a highlight of our summer months and we are sure to include hiking, fishing and lots of water play. When not doing family activities, Tanner loves to mountain bike and will occasionally homebrew his own beer! Given this busy stage of family life, my interests are decorating and simply drinking a hot cup of coffee.
What appealed to you about the Made in the Shade opportunity?
We value owning our own businesses and maintaining flexibility for what is most important in life. The mobile blinds business model has been one that has intrigued us for the last couple of years. Talking with Eddie and Cathy solidified what a fabulous business opportunity joining Made in the Shade truly is and we were quickly able to see what excellent support is provided by being a part of this genuine Made in the Shade Family!
