Welcome Kevin and Michelle Barbour – MITS Phoenix East Valley
Made in the Shade Blinds and More proudly welcomes Kevin and Michelle Barbour to our dynamic team! Kevin and Michelle primarily service the Gilbert, Arizona area, as well as areas in Chandler and Mesa. We are delighted to have this amazing team bring our brand into the great state of Arizona!
Michelle is a Registered Radiologic Technologist, receiving her training at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. She spent many years specializing in Orthopedics in both the clinic and operating room settings. She has successfully balanced a part-time work life with the demands and joys of being a mom.
Kevin spent several of his earlier career years teaching High School Mathematics. He has been involved in various positions of business leadership for approximately 20 years. Prior to starting their Made in the Shade franchise, Kevin most recently spent 11 years in Hotel Management. Kevin and Michelle met at Lancaster Bible College and have lived in PA, NC, and AZ.
After some extensive research, the Barbours believed that this business opportunity seemed like the perfect fit to be able to use the gifts, abilities, and passions that have been placed in their lives. Michelle was drawn to the very casual, non-pressure approach of Made in The Shade and the culture that they observed from the very beginning. Kevin enjoys installations and working with his hands. They are both excited about having a true family oriented business.
Kevin and Michelle hope to ramp up their new business quickly while achieving a balance with a great home life. They want to be able to use this opportunity to develop relationships and serve others.
As far as their long-term goals, the Barbours endeavor to become the premier window covering company in the greater Phoenix area. Their goal is to continue to expand their territory, and have as many of their four sons join them in the family business as interested! Their extended passion is to use their business to assist in community outreach and involvement. They want to be highly successful, but at the same time, value people above all else. Looks like the Barbours will fit in beautifully with the culture we represent at MITS!
