Sam and Dane bring a perfect combination of sales and marketing experience to their new Made in the Shade business which will be instrumental in effectively launching their new Made in the Shade Custom Window Fashions Brand.
Sam has enjoyed a more than 15-year career in marketing and Dane has been in media / tech software sales for approximately 20 years.
What hobbies/interests do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Dane and I are both New York Natives who, like so many others, headed to South Florida during the pandemic. We have quickly adapted as a family to the Florida lifestyle. During our free time we love to play tennis and pickleball and of course family trips to the beautiful beaches of Florida is always a welcome activity for all of us! During our quiet time, we also enjoy reading.
Tell us about your family and their interests.
We have two rambunctious, but totally adorable, boys Cameron, and Harper and our two dogs, Ella and Ellie round out the family. Having only been in Florida since 2021 we love exploring all the area has to offer beyond our trips to the beach and exploring new playgrounds.
What appealed to you about the Made in the Shade opportunity?
While buying our home when we moved to Florida, I remember Dane and I getting into a disagreement about how much an of an investment we should make in quality window treatments. After going through the shopping and buying process, we quickly realized what an important investment it is and that was the catalyst to start to look into window fashions as a business opportunity.
When we performed our due diligence with Made in the Shade, everyone we spoke with thought so highly of the founder of MITS and of the support from the corporate team so we decided that it was the right fit for us.
