As the proud owner of Made in the Shade NE Washington, D.C., Tiffany brings an incredible wealth of experience in interior design, business leadership, and client-focused service to the greater D.C. community.
Tiffany brings a dynamic blend of creative vision, business acumen, and community commitment to Made in the Shade NE Washington, D.C. As a seasoned entrepreneur and design expert, Tiffany is passionate about helping homeowners and businesses transform their spaces with custom window treatments that are both beautiful and functional.
Before launching Made in the Shade, Tiffany was the Founder and CEO of Parker Staging/Parker Interiors—one of the largest and most respected home staging companies in the Washington, D.C. region. Under her leadership, the company completed up to 500 professional home stagings each year and earned a stellar reputation for elevated style and client service. In January 2025, she successfully sold the company through acquisition to an investor, paving the way for her next chapter in the home design industry.
Tiffany is also the proud owner of Wynnwood Home Market, a boutique furniture store in Hyattsville, MD, offering a curated mix of stylish new and lightly used furniture pieces.
Her professional journey is as diverse as it is impressive. Tiffany’s earlier career includes over a decade of service in both the public and private sectors. She was appointed as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, serving as a Staff Aide to the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria and as a White House Liaison and Advance Team Member in Washington, D.C. She also worked as a civilian aide to a three-star general at the Pentagon and held key roles at Booz Allen Hamilton, DTI Haverstick Consulting, Philip Morris USA, and Rexahn Pharmaceuticals.
Tiffany holds a bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) from Howard University and a master’s degree from Columbia University. Raised in Norfolk, VA, she has proudly called Washington, D.C. home for over 15 years.
Outside of business, Tiffany is deeply committed to community service. She served as Board President of Thrive DC, helping oversee an annual budget of over $1 million to support programs for individuals experiencing homelessness. She has also held board positions at Breakthrough Collaborative DC and Capital Partners for Education. Through her nonprofit Design Heals, Tiffany donated furniture and design services to women and families rebuilding their lives.
When she’s not working with clients or managing her businesses, Tiffany enjoys pool days, biking, live music, fitness, reading, cooking, global travel, and spending quality time with her beloved niece and five nephews.
With Tiffany at the helm, Made in the Shade NE Washington, D.C. reflects a modern, client-first approach to home design—where elegance meets purpose, and service is always personalized.
