Made in the Shade proudly welcomes Kathy Stamps, from the Inland Empire area of Southern California. Kathy, who currently resides in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is no stranger to the world of entrepreneurship! She has owned her own interior design and staging company, as well as a successful franchise chain restaurant, for the last 14 years.
Kathy’s extensive experience with being her own boss and controlling her own destiny prompted her to find a franchise that would fulfill her true love – making homes beautiful and homeowners happy! When she discovered the Made in the Shade opportunity, she was able to check off all the boxes of what she was looking for in a new business venture.
What appealed to you about the Made in the Shade Opportunity?
Initially, what appealed to Kathy the most was the low franchise cost and no royalties. However, after speaking with the CEO, Cathy Morse, and Eddie Miller, the Director of Franchising, she was sold on the “family feel” of the franchise group. Kathy loves the fact that although Made in the Shade is a well-structured franchise model, the personal feel of the franchise was most appealing. Kathy confidently stated that the corporate attitude of finding the “right fit,” versus anyone who has a checkbook and can afford to purchase a franchise, sealed the deal for her!
When asked about leisure hobbies and interests, Kathy smiled and said “Basketball games!!” Kathy and her husband “D” are the proud parents of 17 year old Legend Dary Stamps (yes, this is his real birth name!) who, at 6’9”, is showing some great promise for a career in the NBA!
